Human Mammary Fibroblasts
Isolated from female breast tissue, mammary fibroblasts are responsible for mainting an extracellular matric. Through this they regulate the proliferation of mammary epithelial cells. They may also secrete pro-tumorgenic agents making them crucial in studying breast cancer. They are also used for toxicity analysis and drug screening purposes.
