Description
Isolated from the spleen, Human Splenic endothelial cells are being increasingly recognised for their role in the immune system. Apart from being an interface between the the spleen tissue and blood, these cells are also responsible for the growth of dendritic cells. Moreover, researchers have studied the endotheliel cell-macrophage interactions to show that these cells have an important role in the phagocyte system. These cells can also be used for toxicity analysis and drug screening.
