Derived from the innermost layer of the Placenta Amniotic Epithelial cells posses multi-lineage differntiation potential. Due to their ease of access and embryonic stem-cell like potency they make promising seed stem cells. Therefore, they are being used for therapeutic purposes as well as for drug screening and other IVD applications.
