Description
Human coronary artery endothelial cells are derived from coronary artery and have a cobblestone appearance with large dark nuclei. During proliferation, these cells are small and evenly sized, displaying high mitotic index and absence of smooth muscle cells. Endothelial cells are grown in specifically defined basal media supplemented with different Endothelial cells growth components; in order to mimic the ideal in vivo cell system. In case of pooled endothelial cells, they are derived from different donors that further avoids the variability associated with single donors.
We also recommend the use of specific Vascular cell Basal Media (Both options are available with and without VEGF); in order to ensure the highest viability and plating efficiency of cells.
Specific Culture Requirements:
- Endothelial Cell Growth Medium (Cat No: ADC/GM/1902-C) with VEGF containing rh-VEGF, rh-FGF basis, l-glutamine, ascorbic acid, fetal bovine serum and a mix of antibiotics for optimum cell growth and viability.
- Fibronectin coated flasks for subculturing.
